It seems as though the Cubs couldn't get hits and walks to home plate. The only RBI's were scored by Blake and Phillip, on a cannon to the left field fence by Danny. The first inning, only one run was allowed, due to an error by Blake during a very short rundown. "That made me feel bad, since we had spent an hour doing that in practice," he said afterward. "It seems like I wasn't expecting it until the ball hit the tip of my glove." However, on a cold picthing night, things started turning up again in the third and fourth inning. The fielding, tuned up on a breath-taking double play, one of the best fielding that was seen all night by the Cubs. The man was thrown out at first, then the picther went all the way from the mound, to home plate, as a Philly was rounding third. Just before he was home, the glove smacked him, causing a quick double play. The next half-inning, Danny hit the hardest cannon of the year, belting it into deep left field, having two runs score with a triple. That moment was the only time the Cubs saw home plate, as many runners were left on base leading to a 12-2 blowout. The game was still a Non-Conference game, not going against our seeding in the playoffs, but our overall record. Friday night, we take the field to face the Marlins. Great Luck!
